Kejurnas ASKI ke VIII tahun 2024 mempertandingkan kelas kata dan kumite perorangan maupun beregu, dimulai dari kelas pra usia dini sampai kelas senior.
PP ASKI berkomitmen untuk memberangkatkan empat orang pemenang Best of The Best ke Kejuaraan Dunia Gichin Funakoshi Cup di Tokyo Jepang, Oktober mendatang.
Ketua Panitia Kejurnas ASKI 2024, Sutrisno Iwantono mengatakan tema tahun ini yakni “Kebangkitan ASKI Menuju World Class Karate”.
Dengan begitu, maka penyelenggaraan Kejuaraan Nasional ASKI 2024 ini memiliki peran strategis bagi perkembangan dan kemajuan Perguruan ASKI.
“Melalui kegiatan ini, kami berharap dapat meningkatkan prestasi para karateka ASKI.”
“Bukan saja di tingkat lokal, regional atau nasional, tetapi juga mampu melahirkan karateka-karateka ASKI yang tangguh berkelas dunia.”
“Serta merupakan persiapan untuk menghadapi berbagai agenda kejuaraan pada tahun 2024 ataupun 2025 mendatang,” ungkap Sutrisno.
Pada kesempatan yang sama, Ketua Umum PP ASKI, Saepullah Nasution mengatakan, saat ini peta kekuatan ASKI di wilayah pusat maupun daerah kian merata dan terus mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan.
Dari sisi prestasi, para atlet ASKI juga sudah mulai bisa berbicara tak hanya di tingkat nasional tapi beberapa atlet ASKI juga sudah mampu mengibarkan merah putih di level internasional.
“InsyaAllah prestasi ini akan terus kita tingkatkan, dan kami berkomitmen untuk terus mengembangkan skill para karateka serta yang tak kalah penting adalah membentuk mereka menjadi karateka yang berkarakter mulia,” ungkap Saepullah.
Masih dalam rangkaian Kejurnas ASKI 2024, PP ASKI mengadakan seminar nasional dengan menghadirkan Senior Managing Director Japan Karate Association Head Quarters (JKA-HQ) World Federation, Seizo Izumiya, Jumat (3/5/2024) di Gelanggang Remaja Jakarta Timur.
Pemegang DAN 8 JKA itu memberikan kesempatan kepada tokoh karate perguruan Shotokan untuk berdiskusi dan melakukan latihan bersama.
Ketua Dewan Guru ASKI, Ucok Marisi Sihotang menjelaskan, sebagai Instruktur International JKA, Seizo Izumiya memiliki sederet prestasi, salah satunya menjadi juara Kata dan Kumite di All Japan Karate, sebuah kompetisi tahunan yang digelar oleh JKA sejak tahun 1956.
Menurutnya, beberapa target yang ingin disasar ASKI dengan kehadiran Seizo Izumiya antara lain menyoliasisakikan posisi ASKI sebagai organisasi yang berafiliasi ke JKA WF, dimana JKA adalah organisasi terbesar dan tertua di dunia.
“Selain itu, ingin meningkatkan kualitas teknik karateka ASKI, memperkuat tali silaturahmi antara perguruan-perguruan beraliran shotokan di Indonesia.”
“Dengan hadirnya Izumiya Shihan, ASKI ingin memposisikan diri sejajar dengan perguruan-perguruan besar karate lainnya di Indonesia,” ungkap Ucok Marisi.
Seperti diketahui, PP ASKI yang juga merupakan penyempurnaan dari Perguruan Karate AMURA terus meningkatkan kualitas para karateka baik dari segi teknik maupun karakter.
ASKI diharapkan menjadi lembaga pendidikan non formal yang mampu membentuk karakter peserta didiknya menjadi manusia yang lebih baik melalui latihan karate.
