Wto Sport – Asosiasi Asuransi Jiwa Indonesia (AAJI) menyebut penempatan investasi industri asuransi jiwa (IAJ) pada Surat Berharga Negara (SBN) mencapai 30 persenmenjadi yang paling dominan dari keseluruhan investasi IAJ.
“Investasi industri asuransi jiwa sebagian besar ditempatkan pada instrumen SBN, yakni sebesar Rp160,28 triliun atau setara dengan 30 persen dari total investasi keseluruhan,” kata Ketua Bidang Pengembangan & Pelatihan SDM (Center of Excellent) AAJI Handojo G. Kusuma saat konferensi pers Kinerja Industri Asuransi Jiwa Periode Januari-September 2023 di Jakarta, Rabu.
Sampai dengan September 2023, total investasi yang dimiliki industri asuransi jiwa mencapai Rp534,1 triliun. Nilai tersebut mengalami penurunan sebesar 0,9 persen jika dibandingkan dengan periode yang sama tahun 2022 (year-on-year/yoy).
Selain SBN, penempatan investasi lainnya yaitu pada saham sebesar Rp156,64 triliun, reksadana Rp89,17 triliun, sukuk korporasi Rp43,75 triliun, deposito Rp37,26 triliun, penyertaan langsung Rp24,61 triliun, tanah dan bangunan Rp14,62 triliun, serta instrumen lainnya Rp7,7 triliun.
Handojo mengatakan penurunan kinerja aset investasi berdampak pada aset industri asuransi jiwa. Hal itu disebabkan aset investasi merupakan kontributor dominan pada total aset.
Adapun total aset industri asuransi jiwa hingga September 2023 tercatat sebesar Rp610,89 triliun, turun Rp5,5 triliun atau 0,9 persen yoy dari capaian pada kuartal III-2022 sebesar Rp616,42 triliun.
Meski terjadi penurunan, Handojo mengimbau para pelaku industri asuransi jiwa untuk terus mengedepankan kepentingan pemegang polis dalam menjalankan bisnis mereka, termasuk dalam hal penempatan investasi.
“Industri asuransi jiwa merupakan bisnis yang dijalankan dengan prinsip kehati-hatian yang tinggi, termasuk dalam hal penempatan investasi, industri asuransi jiwa diatur dan diawasi secara ketat oleh regulator,” ujar Handojo.
Sementara itu, pendapatan industri asuransi jiwa mencapai Rp162,87 triliun per kuartal III-2023, terkontraksi 0,6 persen akibat penurunan komponen pendapatan premi yang tercatat negatif 7,7 persen menjadi Rp132,04 triliun.
Penurunan tersebut utamanya disebabkan oleh kinerja premi produk asuransi yang dikaitkan dengan asuransi (PAYDI) atau unit link yang menurun 22,4 persen menjadi Rp64,37 triliun.
Di sisi lain, pendapatan premi produk asuransi jiwa tradisional secara konsisten terus meningkat. Pada periode Januari hingga September 2023, pendapatan dari produk tradisional mencapai Rp67,67 triliun atau tumbuh 12,5 persen yoy.
