Meski lebih tinggi dari nasional, dia mengakui, pertumbuhan ekonomi Solo pada tahun ini lebih rendah dibandingkan tahun lalu. BI mencatat pada tahun lalu pertumbuhan ekonomi Kota Solo sebesar 6,25 persen.
Ia mengatakan perlambatan tersebut merupakan dampak dari penurunan ekspor akibat konflik global yang belum selesai. Kondisi ini terjadi secara nasional.
Sementara itu, jika perkiraan pertumbuhan ekonomi di Solo di kisaran 5,6-5,9 persen, untuk di Solo Raya akan di kisaran 5,2-5,6 persen.
Menurut dia, sektor yang menggerakkan perekonomian di Kota Solo, salah satunya pergelaran acara yang terus ada serta dampak dari beberapa destinasi wisata baru, sehingga mampu menggaet banyak pengunjung.
“Dengan demikian, aktivitas ekonomi jadi tumbuh, perdagangan jadi meningkat. Sektor makanan dan minuman naik, oleh-oleh naik. Selain itu, karena banyak yang berkunjung akomodasi naik, yang nginep naik, transportasi ikut naik, trafik yang ke Solo jadi meningkat,” katanya lagi.
Selain itu, menurutnya lagi, perdagangan kendaraan roda empat juga mengalami peningkatan seiring dengan bisnis rental kendaraan yang berkembang di Solo.
“Sementara penjualan motor justru melambat karena sebagian besar yang beli motor di kalangan petani. Kebetulan pertanian melambat karena El Nino, sehingga pembelian motor juga melambat,” katanya pula.
Selanjutnya, sektor yang juga memberikan kontribusi pada pertumbuhan ekonomi di Solo adalah konstruksi. Ia mengatakan saat ini ada sejumlah konstruksi publik yang sudah selesai pengerjaannya.
“Ada Masjid Sheikh Zayed, Solo Safari, sekarang tinggal rel layang Palang Joglo dan Taman Balekambang. Artinya yang publik selesai, perusahaan swasta mulai tumbuh, seperti bisnis hotel jadi prospektif, swasta mulai investasi. Itulah mengapa kami optimistis Solo tetap tumbuh tinggi,” katanya lagi.
