Wto Sport – Gubernur Bank Indonesia (BI) Perry Warjiyo mengatakan transaksi e-commerce pada Oktober 2023 mencapai Rp42,2 triliun, atau 10,69 persen (mtm) dan 4,99 persen (yoy).
Sedangkan pada volume, Perry menyebut, posisi per Oktober tercatat 361,54 juta transaksi atau 8,13 persen (mtm) dan 32,04 persen (yoy).
“Kalau mau setahun dikalikan rata-rata kurang lebih dikalikan 12 (bulan). Nilai Rp42,2 triliun itu adalah transaksi dalam satu bulan yaitu Oktober,” kata Perry saat konferensi pers hasil Rapat Dewan Gubernur (RDG) BI November 2023 di Jakarta, Kamis.
Perry mengatakan, transaksi e-commerce meningkatkan percepatan perputaran uang, sehingga mendongkrakefisiensi dan produktivitas.
“Sebab dahulu, kalau orang belanja perlu keluar dan ke toko. Itu volume transaksinya perlu waktu. Sedangkan ini (e-commerce) bisa lebih cepat sehingga perputaran uang tidak hanya transaksi tapi juga antara pembeli dan penjual terjadi lebih cepat,” kata Perry.
Perry menyebut, dengan adanya sistem pembayaran melalui QRIS dan BI fast, maka dapat menyelesaikan transaksi dengan cepat.
“Sedangkan bila melalui gerbang pembayaran nasional (GPN), memang penyelesaian transaksi memerlukan waktu. Sehingga itu kenapa kami akan mengintegrasikan keduanya,” kata Perry.
Perry menyebut, harga barang yang cenderung murah di e-commerce mendukung upaya pengendalian inflasi, khususnya harga-harga barang untuk kebutuhan sehari-hari seperti fesyen, produk perawatan pribadi, makanan, minuman, dan barang elektronik.
“Komponen-komponen barang yang diperdagangkan itu juga mendukung pengendalian inflasi. Sehingga itu alasan kami terus mempercepat digitalisasi keuangan karena manfaatnya banyak,” kata Perry.
Perry mengatakan, manfaat digitalisasi keuangan antara lain mendorong ekonomi karena perputaran transaksi bisa lebih cepat, perputaran uang antara pembeli; penjual dan institusi keuangan lebih cepat, serta bisa mendukung penurunan inflasi.
Sementara itu, Deputi Gubernur Bank Indonesia Filianingsih Hendarta mengatakan produk fesyen, perawatan pribadi dan kosmetik, serta kebutuhan rumah tangga dan kantor menjadi kategori terbesar dalam transaksi di e-commerce.
“Ada dua hal yang menyebabkan (tingginya transaksi), pertama akseptasi untuk belanja di e-commerce semakin meluas. Kedua, adanya promo di tanggal-tanggal kembar,” kata Fili.
