“Dari hasil proses Munas selama 4 hari dilaksanakan di Aceh, secara aklamasi saya terpilih untuk menjadi Ketua Kwarnas masa bakti 2023-2028,” kata Budi Waseso dalam konferensi pers usai pemilihan, di Banda Aceh, Senin.
Buwas menyampaikan, dalam musyawarah tersebut awal terdapat lima orang calon, tetapi berdasarkan hasil rapat peserta Mukernas dalam hal ini Komisi D, dan akhirnya diputuskan ia menjadi calon tunggal.
“Maka, itu proses dari teman-teman yang masuk dalam Komisi D, yaitu di seleksi. Dari hasilnya, akhirnya saya secara aklamasi terpilih menjadi calon tunggal,” ujarnya.
Buwas juga menegaskan bahwa proses musyawarah di Tanah Rencong ini sudah berjalan secara demokrasi, sesuai dengan prosedur yang berlaku.
“Jadi di sini betul-betul demokrasi di Pramuka, musyawarah adalah berpendapat mufakat, jadi biasa di pramuka tidak ada masalah,” katanya.
Setelah ditetapkan, Buwas menyatakan dirinya akan bekerja sesuai dengan visi-misi yang telah dibacakan di hadapan peserta Mukernas.
Namun, untuk langkah pertama adalah mengevaluasi kinerja lima tahun yang lalu terkait terkendala atau hambatan yang nantinya bakal lebih disempurnakan lagi.
“Tentunya, ke depan kita sempurnakan lagi, perbaiki lagi dari hal-hal yang memang masih kurang. Tadi juga diputus beberapa kegiatan untuk lima tahun ke depan secara nasional,” ujarnya.
