Menurutnya, peninjauan tersebut di antaranya mitigasi potensi risiko gangguan perjalanan KA akibat bencana alam, penempatan Alat Material Untuk Siaga (AMUS), dan hasilnya dalam kondisi prima.
Kemudian, pemeriksaan fasilitas pelanggan, mitigasi daerah perhatian khusus, hingga kemampuan sumber daya manusia (SDM) dalam mengamankan dan menjaga perjalanan KA.
Pada kegiatan cek lintas operasional tersebut, kata dia, pihaknya ingin memastikan satu titik yang termasuk dalam daerah pantauan khusus yang berpotensi mengganggu operasional KA.Seperti halnya di km 142+000 – 144+900, antara Stasiun Sumberrejo – Stasiun Bowerno, dengan potensi tubuh ban labil yang diakibatkan pergerakan tanah akibat arus air saat turun hujan.
“KAI Daop 8 Surabaya terus berusaha semaksimal mungkin dalam mewujudkan perjalanan KA yang selamat, aman, dan nyaman bagi para pelanggan KA,” tuturnya.
Sebagai antisipasi, lanjutnya, pihaknya telah menempatkan AMUS yang terdiri dari karung, bantalan kayu dan beton, pasir, balas, rel cadangan, penambat, plat sambung, perancah, lampu & genset, terpal, alat potong, dan peralatan pendukung lainnya.
“Untuk daerah perhatian khusus, kami akan menyiagakan dua petugas per shift sesuai lokasi,” katanya.
Selain itu, lanjut dia, Daop 8 Surabaya mencatat jumlah perlintasan di wilayah lintas utara sebanyak 148 perlintasan sebidang yang terdiri dari 67 perlintasan yang dijaga, 39 perlintasan dijaga swadaya, dan 42 perlintasan tak terjaga.
“Jumlah ini meliputi 19 perlintasan sebidang di Kabupaten Gresik, 58 perlintasan sebidang di Kabupaten Lamongan, 58 perlintasan sebidang di Kabupaten Bojonegoro, dan 13 perlintasan di jalur KA lintas Surabaya – Gresik,” ujar Luqman.
Terkait permasalahan perlintasan ini, kta dia, pihaknya secara rutin melakukan kegiatan sosialisasi langsung di perlintasan sebidang, serta mengajak instansi terkait seperti Dinas Perhubungan hingga kewilayahan setempat.
“Dari sisi pelayanan kepada pelanggan, manajemen KAI Daop 8 Surabaya memastikannya dengan cek masing-masing fasilitas di tiap stasiun, seperti halnya ruang tunggu, kebersihan toilet, boarding pelanggan dan lainnya,” ucapnya.
