Digital Alliance diresmikan dalam acara Data Science Weekend (DSW) yang diselenggarakan komunitas Data Science Indonesia berkolaborasi dengan Telkomsel pada beberapa waktu lalu. DSW merupakan sebuah acara dua tahunan yang diinisiasi oleh komunitas Data Science Indonesia.
DSW mengajak masyarakat untuk mengeksplorasi berbagai aspek ilmu data, sekaligus mewadahi pertemuan para pemikir terkemuka dalam industri data. Selama 3 hari, DSW menghadirkan berbagai kegiatan menarik, di antaranya Data Concert, Data Challenge, Data Class, Data Expo, dan Data Career.
Data Science Weekend 2023 turut dihadiri oleh Menteri Komunikasi dan Informatika RI, Budi Arie Setiadi serta Menteri Pendayagunaan Aparatur Negara dan Reformasi Birokrasi (PAN RB) RI, Abdullah Azwar Anas.
“Ini adalah kesiapan komunitas digital untuk ikut terlibat dalam upaya penerapan pemerintah digital yang sedang dilakukan oleh pemerintah, aktif mendorong kerja sama dua arah antara komunitas dengan pemerintah dalam pengembangan ekosistem digital secara menyeluruh,” ujar Ketua Data Science Indonesia Nabil Badjri saat deklarasi Digital Alliance.
Digital Alliance berkomitmen untuk menjalin komunikasi intensif dengan pihak pemerintah dan swasta. Kolaborasi yang erat dengan berbagai pihak ini diharapkan dapat menciptakan ekosistem yang produktif, inovatif, aman, dan inklusif untuk pengembangan talenta digital, sekaligus merespons kebutuhan pasar digital yang terus berkembang.
Dalam peresmiannya, Digital Alliance mendapat dukungan penuh dari Telkomsel. Hal ini juga sejalan dengan komitmen Telkomsel untuk menjadi World-Class Center of Excellence dalam mengembangkan talenta digital. Berbagai komunitas digital Telkomsel yang telah terbentuk sebelumnya juga turut menjadi bagian dari Digital Alliance, seperti dari bidang UI/UX, software developer, dan data science.
