Pada kesempatan tersebut Ketua Yayasan STIT Pemalang, Heri, memaparkan “link and match” dengan menggali potensi Negara Balkan Serbia tersebut dengan kampus yang akan beralih menjadi Institut Agama Islam Pemalang ini.
“Kami atas nama STIT Pemalang siap berkolaborasi menyukseskan Diplomasi Indonesia-Serbia berkolaborasi dengan KBRI Beograd tentu dengan mohon arahan dan petunjuk Pak Dubes,” katanya.
Heri juga ijin akan menindaklanjuti tawaran program 2024 sekaligus akan mengirimkan mahasiswanya untuk magang di KBRI Beograd.
“Insya Allah kami siap memberikan beasiswa untuk calon mahasiswa Serbia yang mau kuliah ditempat kami, beasiswa penuh asrama serta uang saku. Proyeksi kami pada 2025 kami sudah siap menampungnya,” katanya.
Pada kesempatan tersebut Duta Besar Indonesia untuk Serbia dan Montenegro Mochamad Wahyu Widya Yudha menyampaikan pihaknya sangat mengapresiasi atas keberanian delegasi muda STIT Pemalang dalam penjajakan potensi secara jemput bola.
“Ini sangat langka dan ini sudah betul kita harus tunjukkan peran Indonesia secara aktif, banyak cara dan jalur, bidang Pendidikan, ekonomi, keagamaan, sosial budaya. Kami sangat mendukung dan bila perlu tahun depan kita buat agenda kebudayaan dan keagamaan bersama Serbia. Supaya ini konkrit bila perlu kita siapkan anggaran khusus untuk event atau kegiatan,” katanya.
Wahyu mengatakan Serbia sekarang cukup stabil sedangkan potensi peluang masih luas.
“Jangan khawatir berkegiatan di Serbia, kita KBRI siap mengawal penuh yang penting kalau bisa hindari dulu area Kosovo karena memang situasi kurang stabil hubungannya dengan Serbia, dan kita sudah puluhan tahun bersahabat baik dengan Serbia dan belum bisa mengakui Kosovo jadi tahan dulu kesana,” katanya.
Perang Kosovo adalah perang etnis Albania dengan pemerintah Serbia Kosovo pada kurun waktu awal 1998-1999 yang sempat menjadi perhatian dunia Internasional.
