Wto Sport – Forum Perempuan Sabuk dan Jalur Sutra kelima yang berfokus pada pembangunan dan pertukaran budaya kaum perempuan dibuka pada Kamis (7/12) di Sanya, Provinsi Hainan, China.
Mengusung tema “Kekuatan Wanita: Bersama Membangun dan Berbagi Kehidupan yang Indah” (She Power: Jointly Building and Sharing a Beautiful Life”, forum itu dihadiri oleh sekitar 400 peserta, termasuk para utusan diplomatik di China dan perwakilan bisnis. Acara tersebut berlangsung hingga Jumat (8/12).
Acaranya mencakup forum kepemimpinan pemuda dan sejumlah forum bertema khusus yang memusatkan perhatian pada pertukaran dan kerja sama kaum perempuan, inovasi dan pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, kesetaraan gender, serta pertukaran budaya di antara negara-negara peserta pembangunan bersama Inisiatif Sabuk dan Jalur Sutra (Belt and Road Initiative/BRI).
Menurut He Dan, selaku kepala Pusat Penelitian Kependudukan dan Pembangunan China, China telah membentuk sistem hukum yang sepenuhnya melindungi hak-hak dan kepentingan kaum perempuan, termasuk lebih dari 100 undang-undang dan peraturan.
Status politik dan ekonomi kaum perempuan China telah meningkat secara keseluruhan, seiring dengan tingkat pendidikan mereka, tambahnya.
Forum ini menyoroti peran unik perempuan dalam bersama-sama membangun Sabuk dan Jalur Sutra, meningkatkan pemberdayaan perempuan yang komprehensif dan berkelanjutan, memperkuat pertukaran antarmasyarakat, dan berfungsi sebagai platform bagi pertukaran dan komunikasi kaum perempuan, kata Li Xikui, wakil presiden Asosiasi Rakyat China untuk Persahabatan dengan Negara-Negara Asing.
