Raden Agus menjelaskan, Face Recognition Boarding Gate merupakan fasilitas layanan boarding di stasiun yang dilengkapi dengan kamera yang berfungsi untuk mengidentifikasi dan memvalidasi identitas seseorang melalui wajah, yang datanya sudah diintegrasikan dengan data tiket kereta yang dimiliki pelanggan.
Ia menyampaikan KAI sudah mengimplementasikan Sistem Manajemen Keamanan Informasi berstandar internasional ISO 27001 tentang Standardisasi Manajemen Keamanan Informasi.
Selain itu, KAI juga secara rutin terus meningkatkan keamanan data yang dikelola oleh perusahaan.
Menurut dia, KAI memberikan kemudahan kepada pelanggan melalui inovasi-inovasi di berbagai layanannya, termasuk kemudahan layanan pada saat pelanggan melakukan boarding pass.
Agus menjelaskan data nama, NIK, dan foto pelanggan akan disimpan pada infrastruktur KAI dan hanya dipergunakan untuk proses boarding menggunakan Face Recognition Boarding Gate.
Data tersebut akan disimpan dalam waktu 1 tahun, setelah itu akan dihapus secara sistem.
Penumpang juga berhak mengajukan penghapusan dirinya sewaktu-waktu setelah melakukan registrasi melalui aplikasi Access by KAI atau dengan mengajukan penghapusan data kepada KAI melalui petugas layanan pelanggan di stasiun.
“KAI memberikan pilihan fasilitas kepada penumpang untuk melakukan boarding melalui Face Recognition ataupun manual,” ujarnya.
Pemasangan Face Recognition Boarding Gate pertama kali dilakukan di Stasiun Bandung pada 28 September 2022.
Saat ini Face Recognition Boarding Gate telah tersedia di 9 stasiun yakni Stasiun Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya Gubeng, Malang, Solo Balapan, Gambir, Cirebon, Surabaya Pasar Turi, dan Semarang Tawang Bank Jateng.
