Pihaknya mengatakan kolaborasi merupakan kunci untuk memperjuangkan isu pencegahan kekerasan terhadap perempuan, isu kesetaraan gender, serta isu-isu perempuan dan anak di Indonesia.
Dikatakannya, kelompok relawan muda adalah salah satu komunitas yang digandeng oleh KemenPPPA untuk dapat terlibat dalam edukasi pencegahan kekerasan dengan menggunakan berbagai media termasuk platform digital.
“Para relawan sudah membuktikan dirinya bahwa hanya dengan menggunakan gadget, mereka bisa ikut aktif melakukan kampanye dan edukasi pencegahan kekerasan. Setiap orang bisa menjadi relawan,” kata Ratna Susianawati.
Pihaknya optimistis akan muncul relawan-relawan baru di kalangan generasi muda.
“Kami optimistis akan muncul relawan-relawan baru khususnya generasi muda untuk membantu edukasi pencegahan kekerasan dan eksploitasi terhadap perempuan,” kata Ratna Susianawati.
Asisten Deputi Perlindungan Hak Perempuan Dalam Rumah Tangga dan Rentan KemenPPPA Eni Widiyanti menambahkan keberadaan relawan sangat penting untuk ikut menyosialisasikan UU TPKS kepada masyarakat.
“Relawan sangat membantu pemerintah untuk mengkampanyekan UU tentang Tindak Pidana Kekerasan Seksual. Kita berusaha merubah budaya negatif yang dianggap normal seperti siulan seksis atau pelecehan di media sosial. Hal ini bisa dikenakan pidana dalam UU TPKS dan bukan hanya sekedar UU ITE,” kata Eni Widiyanti.
