Wto Sport – Anggota Komisi I DPR RI Nurul Arifin menilai Kepala Staf TNI Angkatan Darat (KSAD) Jenderal TNI Maruli Simanjuntak,yang dilantik di Jakarta, Rabu (29/11), merupakan sosok yang tepat dan kompeten dalam memimpin matra TNI AD.
“Beliau merupakan sosok yang tepat dan kompeten dalam mengemban posisi sebagai KSAD,” kata NurulArifin dalam keterangan yang diterima di Jakarta, Kamis.
Menurut Nurul,Maruli memiliki kiprah dan pengalaman mumpuni yang tak perlu diragukan lagi, di antaranya pernah menjabat sebagai Komandan Paspampres (2018-2020), Panglima Kodam IX/Udayana (2020-2022), hingga Panglima Kostrad (2022-2023).
“Saya juga melihat bahwa beliau merupakan sosok yang tegas, namun tetap humble dan merakyat,” tambahnya.
Nurulmenjelaskan tantangan yang akan dihadapi oleh kepemimpinanMarulidi TNI AD antara lain terkait pengamanan Pemilu 2024 dan netralitas TNI AD dalam mengawal tahun politik. Dia pun meyakiniMarulimampu mengemban amanah tersebut.
“Tentu kami percaya di bawah kepemimpinan Jenderal Maruli, TNI AD dapat menjaga amanah dalam menjalankan tugas negara; sehingga Pemilu 2024 dapat berjalan dengan lancar sesuai dengan prinsip luber jurdil (langsung, umum, bebas, rahasia, jujur, dan adil),” jelas Nurul.
Terakhir, dia turut mengucapkan selamat bertugas kepadaMaruliSimanjuntakdengan jabatan baru yang diembannya sebagai KSAD dan berharap dapat membawa kemajuan bagi matra TNI AD.
“Kami dari Komisi I DPR RI ingin mengucapkan selamat bertugas kepada Jenderal Maruli. Semoga dapat mengembangkan TNI AD sebagai institusi yang semakin kuat dan profesional demi NKRI dan seluruh elemen masyarakat Indonesia,” ujar Nurul Arifin.
Sebelumnya, Presiden Joko Widodo melantik Jenderal TNIMaruli Simanjuntak sebagai KSAD di Istana Negara, Jakarta, Rabu siang. Jokowi menunjuk menantu Luhut Binsar Pandjaitanitu sebagai KSAD untuk menggantikan Jenderal TNI Agus Subiyanto yang telah dilantik sebagai panglima TNI pada tanggal 22 November 2023.
