Wto Sport – Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) mendukung pengembangan industri peer-to-peer (P2P) lending yang sehat, berintegritas, dan berorientasi pada inklusi keuangan dan perlindungan konsumen serta berkontribusi kepada pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional.
Deputi Direktur Pengawasan Usaha Pembiayaan Berbasis Teknologi OJK, Mohammad Arfan di Jakarta, Kamis, mengatakan bahwa upaya pengembangan dan penguatan industri Layanan Pendanaan Bersama Berbasis Teknologi Informasi (LPBBTI) tersebut diwujudkan melalui peluncuran Roadmap Pengembangan dan Penguatan LPBBTI 2023-2028.
“OJK berupaya untuk mendukung perkembangan dari P2P lending ini supaya berkelanjutan, sehat, kredibel dan beorientasi pada inklusi keuangan dan perlindungan konsumennya,” kata Arfan dalam Webinar Peluang dan Tantangan Fintech P2P Lending Pasca Peluncuran SE OJK 19/2023.
Per September 2023, jumlah penyelenggara LPBBTI sebanyak 101 platform berizin, termasuk tujuh platform dengan sistem syariah. Sejak industri P2P lendinglahir pada 2016, penyaluran pendanaan yang dilakukan industri ini hingga sekarang mencapai sekitar Rp696 triliun.
Arfan menuturkan OJK menekankan agar industri P2P lending berorientasi kepada perlindungan konsumen yang komprehensif dan menyeluruh.
Fintech P2P lending adalah layanan pinjam meminjam uang secara langsung antara lender atau pemberi pinjaman, dengan borrower atau penerima pinjaman berbasis teknologi informasi.
Ia mengatakan P2P lending memberikan kemudahan akses jasa keuangan yang lebih cepat dan mudah kepada masyarakat dengan tetap memberikan keamanan transaksi.
Saat ini, ada lima strategi utama OJK untuk mewujudkan fintech P2P lending yang sehat, berintegritas, dan berorientasi pada inklusi keuangan dan perlindungan konsumen serta berkontribusi kepada pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional.
Strategi tersebut meliputi penguatan permodalan, tata kelola, dan manajemen risiko; penguatan pengaturan, pengawasan, dan perizinan; penguatan perlindungan konsumen; pengembangan elemen ekosistem; dan pengembangan infrastruktur data dan sistem informasi.
Melalui penerapan strategi tersebut, diharapkan terbentuknya industri fintech P2P lending yang memiliki permodalan sesuai ketentuan serta tata kelola, manajemen risiko dan sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang handal, meningkatnya efektivitas pengaturan, pengawasan, dan perizinan untuk mendukung fintech P2P lending yang sehat, berintegritas, dan inklusif.
