Menurut Yohanis yang juga sebagai Pelaksana Tugas Asisten Bidang Pemerintahan Setda Papua, dengan meningkatkan objek PAD maka potensi pendapatan bagi daerah dapat bertambah.
“Karena itu kami sangat berharap kini semua mulai mencari potensi-potensi mana saja yang bisa menjadi tambahan bagi daerah seperti pelaksanaan Sail Teluk Cenderawasih (STC) di mana terdapat potensi PAD,” ujarnya.
Dia menjelaskan dengan kondisi seperti maka pihaknya kini lebih mengutamakan program-program rutinitas seperti belanja pemerintah yang mana tidak boleh kurang, kemudian ada juga infrastruktur serta beberapa lainnya.
“Untuk itu kami sedang berupaya mencari sumber pendapatan baru sehingga tidak hanya mengandalkan dana yang bersumber dari pusat saja,” katanya.
