“Ada 16 kelas balap yang kami hadirkan dengan total hadiah sebesar Rp597 juta,” kata Direktur Marekting RSV Helmet Richard Ryan dalam acara Race Press Conference di Jakarta, Sabtu.
Ke-16 kelas balap yang disuguhkan antara lain Bebek 150 cc Enduro Expert, Bebek 150 cc Novice, Underbone 2T 130 cc Open, Super Pro 140 cc Open, Bebek 2T 125 cc Open.
Selain itu, Bebek 150 cc Rookie, Bebek 150 cc Beginner, Bebek 130 cc 4T Open Sport 140 cc Standar Chamber, Bebek 2T 116 cc Open, Matic 150 cv TU Open, Matic 130 cc TU Open, Matic 130 vc MP7 (Wanita), Vespa 2T TU, Ex Rider A (Pro Mix), Ex Roder B (Pro Lokal).
Ajang balap motor Enduro RSV Racing Championship ini merupakan yang pertama digelar dengan dukungan dari pihak Pertamina Lubricants, Bank Jawa Barat, serta Ikatan Motor Indonesia (IMI) DKI Jakarta.
Richard mengatakan, kegiatan kali ini menyuguhkan hal yang berbeda terutama dari sisi hadiah dengan total nilai yang cukup besar.
Menurut dia, banyak perhelatan balap motor serupa yang selama ini digelar di Tanah Air belum didukung dari sisi apresiasi berupa hadiah yang cukup.
“Minimal dari sisi apresiasi, yang juara pun tidak balik modal sehingga bakat-bakat muda yang ada di daerah-daerah sulit memiliki kesempatan untuk tampil,” katanya.
Vice President Sales & Marketing Domestic Retail Automotive PT Pertamina Lubricants Nugroho Setyo mengatakan, pihaknya menjadi bagian sponsor balap motor tersebut sebagai bentuk dukungan terhadap pertumbuhan industri otomotif di Tanah Air.
“Kami melihat ada gairah baru di dunia otomotif Indonesia yang coba dibangun RSV dan bersamaan dengan kami saat ini juga sedang ekspansi untuk patnership global,” katanya.
Nugroho berharap melalui ajang ini dapat melahirkan pembalap-pembalap muda dari Indonesia yang selanjutnya dapat dibina menuju ajang di tingkat internasional.
