“Kerja sama dengan Lamborghini berawal ketika merek yang berada di bawah Volkswagen itu kesulitan mencari pelumas untuk menghadapi balapan Super Trofeo di Asia pada 2014,” kata Direktur Sales & Marketing PT Pertamina Lubricants, Sari Rachmi dalam dalam acara Media Luncheon Pertamina Lubricants di Jakarta, Kamis (29/2/2024).
“Mereka cari pelumas untuk lingkungan yang panas dan kebetulan bertemu dengan Pertamina.”
Pertamina Lubricants yang sudah berpengalaman mengembangkan pelumas untuk daerah ekstrem bisa dengan mudah memberikan solusi untuk masalah Lamborghini tersebut berkat adanya pusat riset dan pengembangan atau R&D milik perusahaan di Jakarta.
VP Sales & Marketing Domestic Retail Automotive Nugroho Setyo Utomo mengatakan bahwa permintaan Lamborghini sekitar 10 tahun lalu itu cukup menantang.
“Kami hanya diberi waktu tiga hari untuk menawarkan solusi untuk ke Lamborghini. Tantangan itu bisa diatasi berkat kerja keras tiga orang perempuan formulator pelumas andalan Pertamina Lubricants, yang didukung oleh lengkapnya data milik perusahaan,” tutur Nugroho.
“Kami pernah menyediakan pelumas untuk pasar Pakistan, yang kalau dingin bisa minus 30 derajat dan panasnya bisa capai 50 derajat. Selain itu dengan bekal base oli sintetis terbaik yang kami miliki dan formulator terbaik di Indonesia, masalah Lamborhini bisa diatasi.”
Selanjutnya, kerjasama antara Pertamina dan Lamborghini Squadra Corse terjalin. Dari kerja sama ini lahir produk oli Fastron Platinum Racing 10W-60.
“Sejak itu, Pelumas Pertamina dipakai Lamborghini Squadra Corse, karena kami bisa memecahkan masalah di perusahaan sebesar Lamborghini,” ucap Sari.
Kerja sama dengan Lamborghini Squadra Corse menguntungkan Pertamina Lubricants, karena dengan demikian pelumas-pelumasnya bisa lebih mudah menembus pasar Eropa.
Dengan digunakan oleh Lamborghini, pelumas Pertamina Lubricants juga otomatis diakui serta disetujui pemakaiannya oleh Volkswagen yang merupakan salah satu penguasa pasar mobil Eropa dan dunia.
Selain itu, selama 10 tahun terakhir Pertamina dan Lamborghini juga melakukan pengembangan produk bersama, sehingga oli produksi Indonesia semakin diterima di pasar global.
Untuk menunjang performa balap agar semakin optimal, Pertamina juga menyuplai balapan Super Trofeo dengan Pertamax Turbo.
Kedua produk Pertamina ini telah mendapatkan persetujuan dari Lamborghini dalam segi teknis dan spesifikasinya.
Penggunaan produk dalam ajang balap Bergengs saat ini adalah oli Fastron Platinum Racing 10W-60.
Produk ini dugunakan dalam ajang balap Lamborghini Super Trofeo, GT3, World Endurance Championship, dan The International Motor Sports Association Championships untuk kategori hypercar Le Mans Daytona Hybrid.
