Wto Sport – Salah satu pemain senior dalam tim adalah Sigit Ardian. Pemain berusia 31 tahun ini mengantar timnas voli putra Indonesia meraih medali emas SEA Games 2019 Filipina dan SEA Games 2021 Hanoi yang digelar pada 2022.
“Jadi, kerjasamanya lebih erat lagi untuk memback-up adik-adiknya ini supaya mental mereka terbangun. Kami dan pelatih sama-sama membangun chemistry.”
Pemain 31 tahun itu sebelumnya pernah membela Bank Sumsel pada 2018. Saat itu, Bank Sumsel harus puas menjadi runner-up setelah kalah dari Surabaya Samator.
“Dengan tim sekarang, terus terang merasa beban juga tetapi tidak bisa diucapkan dengan kata-kata,” ujar Sigit.
“Apapun yang terjadi di tim ini walaupun banyak pemain junior. kami tetap percaya kepada mereka bahwa target kami di empat besar, Insha Allah bisa tercapai,” ucap pemain di posisi outside hitter itu.
“Pendekatannya seperti biasa, saya berusaha membuat suasana nyaman. Jadi, supaya mereka ke saya tidak canggung.” Kami dalam latihan, dalam mes juga tetap menjalin hubungan, kami mengobrol bersama, kumpul dan bernyanyi bersama.”
Sigit menjelaskan bahwa persiapan tim terhitung cukup singkat menghadapi Proliga 2024.
“Bank Sumsel termasuk mepet sekali persiapannya. Kami berlatih belum efektif sebulan. Makanya PR kami masih banyak sebelumnya cuma kami perbaiki di sisa waktu ini,” ujar Sigit.
“Dan dari awal kami main, kami perbaiki sedikit demi sedikit agar putaran kedua kami mencapai hasil yang maksimal.”
Musim ini persaingan tim putra tetap berlangsung ketat meski tim Surabaya Samator dan Jakarta BNI absen mengikuti Proliga 2024.
Jakarta STIN BIN menjadi tim yang disorot karena mayoritas dihuni oleh pemain timnas voli putra. Sebut saja Rivan Nurmulki, Farhan Halim, Doni Haryono/.
“BIN menarik semua pemain nasional, buat kami lebih ringan artinya pemain yang bagus-bagus berkumpul disana semua,” kata Sigit.
“Jadi, kami otomatis bersaing dengan tim yang lain itu lebih mudah, tidak terlalu sulit. Makanya dari kami percaya tim ini bisa masuk empat besar.”
Pada putaran pertama Proliga 2024 di GOR Amongrogo, Yogyakarta, Bank Sumsel akan menghadapi Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi pada Sabtu (26/4/2024) yang merupakan finalis Proliga 2023.
“Untuk Seri Yogya kami nikmati pertandingan. Kalau persiapan bisa dibilang belum 100 persen dan maksimal,” aku pemain berpostu 193 cm itu.
“Kami berharapnya harus bisa mengambil poin, tetapi kami tidak bisa memungkiri bahwa tim ini pemain baru semua. Jadi, kami berusaha dulu. “
“Hasil bagaimana nanti. Kalau hasilnya belum memuaskan kami perbaiki step by step.”
Terkait menjaga stamina setelah memasuki usia 30 tahun, Sigit mengaku tidak berhenti total dari latihan.
“Saya tidak berhenti total dari latihan, joging, gym. Usahakan dilakukan rutin,” ucap Sigit.
Sejak mulai berpartisipasi pada Proliga pada 2009, Bank Sumsel tercatat sudah dua kali menjadi juara pada 2009 dan 2011.
