“Indonesia telah mencapai kemajuan yang signifikan dalam memerangi malnutrisi selama dua puluh tahun terakhir. Angka stunting pada balita turun dari lebih dari 40 persen pada 2000 menjadi di bawah 30 persen pada 2022,” kata Dida di Jakarta, Jumat.
Dida juga menekankan kembali pentingnya kerja sama antar bangsa dan berbagai pihak untuk berkolaborasi dalam menghilangkan kelaparan dan mengakhiri malnutrisi, khususnya child wasting.
Sebagai informasi, child wasting adalah kondisi anak yang berat badannya menurun seiring waktu hingga total berat badannya jauh di bawah standar kurva pertumbuhan.

“Perubahan iklim, konflik, dampak jangka panjang COVID-19, dan dampak invasi Rusia ke Ukraina terhadap pasokan pangan global merupakan pendorong utama kerawanan pangan. Banyak anak dalam keadaan lapar dan kurang gizi,” ujar Dida.
Adapun Global Food Security Summit menyerukan persatuan untuk mengubah dan mencari solusi dan mengatasi kelaparan dan malnutrisi.
