Wto Sport – Pemerintah Provinsi Riau menetapkan besaran Upah Minimum Provinsi (UMP) Riau 2024 adalah sebesar Rp3.294.625 atau mengalami kenaikan sekitar 3,23 persen dibandingkan UMP tahun sebelumnya sebesar Rp3.191.662.
“Perusahaan di Riau agar mematuhi besaran Upah Minimum Provinsi (UMP) Riau 2024 sebanyak Rp3.294.625 yang dibayarkan per bulan bagi karyawan dan jika membayar UMP dibawah Rp3.294.625 maka perusahaan bisa dipidana,” kata Kepala Dinas Tenaga Kerja dan Transmigrasi (Disnakertrans) Riau, Imron Rosyadi dalam keterangannya di Pekanbaru, Rabu.
Ia mengatakan itu terkait Surat Keputusan (SK) Pelaksana Tugas (Plt) Gubernur Riau (Gubri) Edy Natar Nasution, UMP Riau 2024 ditetapkan sebesar Rp 3.294.625. Perusahaan wajib menjalankan aturan tersebut, gaji buruh dan karyawan tidak boleh dibawah UMP.
Akan tetapi katanya menyebutkan, jika nanti ada kabupaten kota yang menetapkan UMK dibawah UMP, namun yang dipakai itu tetap angka UMP.
“Sanksi jelas, pidana, diundang-undang dibunyikan seperti itu, apabila perusahaan membayarkan upah dibawah upah minimun bisa dikenakan sanksi pidana,” ujarnya.
Ia menjelaskan bahwa dalam Undang-undang nomor 13 pasal 90 ayat 1 disebutkan sanksi pidana dalam pelanggaran pembayaran upah dibawah upah minimun ini masuk dalam kategori pidana kejahatan, sehingga sanksinya berat, jadi perusahaan jangan main-main.
Dengan sudah disahkannya SK penetapan UMP, katanya menekankan maka kabupaten kota mulai hari ini sudah bisa membahas Upah Minimum Kabupaten Kota (UMK) tahun 2024 bersama dewan pengupahan di daerah masing-masing.
“Dalam pembahasan UMK, dewan pengupahan kabupaten kota wajib mempedomani UMP Riau 2024 sebagai acuan. Kami ingatkan kepada kabupaten kota se-Riau untuk segera membahas UMK selambat-lambatnya 30 November 2023. Penetapan UMK harus berdasarkan kondisi ekonomi dan ketenagakerjaan,” demikian Imron.
